Video API

The Vonage Video API platform makes it possible to embed real-time, high-quality interactive video, messaging, screen-sharing, and more into web and mobile apps. Built on WebRTC industry standard, it is supported in all modern web browsers and includes client libraries for the web, mobile and desktop platform as well as server-side SDKs.

Video Express

Vonage Video Express is a low-code JavaScript library to quickly create a multiparty video conference web application. It works on top of OpenTok.js, the Vonage Video API for web applications.

Video Express includes:

• An instant Room Builder with easy device selection and video/audio stream management. This handles low-level interaction with WebRTC and delivers higher-level primitives that are easier to build with.
• A responsive Layout Manager automatically adopts as participants join and leave, screenshare, etc.
• A Quality Manager continuously optimizes stream resolution, framerate, and rendering sizes, reducing client bandwidth usage.
• An Experience Manager dynamically sets speaker priority and auto-mutes joiners for larger meetings.
