Upgrading Your Video Experience

A Better JVM Workflow
Java and Kotlin SDKs Fully Refactored
After months of work and over 39,000 lines of changes, the Vonage Java SDK v9.0.0 was released, along with the Kotlin SDK v2.0.0. These updates modernize and standardize the developer experience across all supported APIs.
These releases provide full test coverage, streamlined JSON and enum handling, and stronger typing across all return values. The updates also introduce support for new APIs, including SIM Swap, Number Verification, and a fully featured Conversation API.
In addition to expanded API coverage, the Messages and Voice APIs have been improved with simplified builders and webhook handling. The Kotlin SDK is now fully aligned with the Java version, offering a more consistent experience for developers working with JVM-based applications.
You can find more details about it in the announcement blog.
