US Number Deactivation File
This resource retrieves a list of United States phone numbers that have been deactivated by mobile network carriers within a 24 hour period. A deactivated phone number refers to a number that a carrier has removed from service for a user, typically due to one of two reasons:
- The user has changed mobile carriers.
- The user has closed their account.
Over time, deactivated numbers may be recycled and reassigned to new users. To support compliance with regulatory requirements, carriers regularly publish deactivation reports, which include phone numbers that have recently been taken out of service. It is strongly recommended that these reports be processed on a periodical basis to:
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Prevent the risk of sending messages to newly assigned users who have not provided prior consent.
