Identity Insights Logs

The Identity Insights Logs page lets you search and review requests made through Number Insight Advanced API and Number Verification API. Use this page to investigate lookup results, verify request completion, and monitor insight usage.

Before You Begin

  • Identity Insights logs are available for 30 days only
  • For logs older than 30 days, use the Reports API
  • Logs appear within a few minutes after the request completes
  • Each request has a unique Request ID returned in the API response

Accessing Identity Insights Logs

  1. Log in to the Vonage API Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Identity Insights Logs

Search Filters

The Identity Insights Logs page provides a single search interface with the following filters:

Date Range

Select the time period for your search using date and time pickers.

To set a date range:

  1. Click the start date/time field (left field)
  2. Select a date from the calendar and enter a time
  3. Click the end date/time field (right field)
  4. Select a date from the calendar and enter a time
  5. Click Search

Note: Date ranges are limited to 30 days. For older logs, use the Reports API.

Request ID

Search for specific requests using their unique request IDs.

To search by request ID:

  1. Enter the request ID in the Request ID field
  2. Click Search

Tip: The request ID is returned in the API response when you make a Number Insight or Number Verification request.

Insight

Filter results by the type of insight request.

Available insight types:

  • Number Insight Advanced
  • Number Verification

To filter by insight type:

  1. Click the Insight dropdown
  2. Select an insight type
  3. Click Search

Clearing Filters

To reset all filters and start a new search, click Clear selection.

Working with Results

Viewing Log Details

The results table displays:

  • Insight - The type of insight request (Number Insight Advanced or Number Verification)
  • Request ID - Unique identifier for the request
  • Date - When the request was made
  • Phone Number - The phone number that was looked up or verified
  • Mobile Network - The mobile network operator (if available)
  • Status - Request status (success, failed, etc.)
  • Price - Cost of the request

Click on a log entry to view full details about the request, including:

  • Complete request parameters
  • Response data
  • Error codes (if applicable)
  • Detailed network information

Configuring Columns

Customize which columns are displayed in the results table:

  1. Click Configure Columns
  2. Select or deselect columns to show or hide
  3. The table updates to display your selected columns

Sorting Results

Click any column header to sort the results by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Exporting Data

Export search results to CSV for offline analysis:

  1. Perform a search using the filters
  2. Click Export CSV
  3. The CSV file includes all columns from the results table

Note: The Export CSV button is only enabled when search results are available.
