We’re so excited to introduce the first cohort of startups accepted into the Vonage Startup Program! These 10 companies from around the world are building with Vonage communications APIs to power real-time customer engagement.

From healthcare and fintech to sales and customer support, these teams are using programmable voice, messaging, and video to solve practical problems and scale their products.

Here’s a closer look at what they’re building and how Vonage fits into their stack.

OodlesAI

OodlesAI is an autonomous AI agent platform built specifically for medspas. Their platform handles scheduling, patient communication, billing, clinical documentation, and retention workflows that reduce up to 90% of manual administrative work. AI handles 80–85% of operational workload autonomously, with clinicians retained for final review on clinical documentation and patient-facing health assessments. 

OodlesAI relies on the Voice API and SMS API as the communication backbone for its AI agents. The Voice API powers a 24/7 AI receptionist that manages appointment booking, rescheduling, and cancellations. The SMS API supports two-way messaging for confirmations, reminders, and payment notifications, all running through HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.

DoctorOnTap

DoctorOnTap helps patients in Nigeria navigate the healthcare system by connecting them with the right doctors and hospitals. The platform supports users throughout their care journey, from initial consultation to follow-up, whether locally or abroad.

DoctorOnTap uses the Video API and Voice API to enable real-time virtual consultations between patients and specialists. The SMS API and Messages API support triage workflows, appointment reminders, and lab result notifications, helping patients stay informed at every step.

Broot AI 

Broot AI is a SaaS platform that enhances CRM systems with AI-powered contact capture, enrichment, and activation. It transforms passive data, such as business card scans, LinkedIn QR codes, and anonymous website visits, into actionable contact records for sales, marketing, and event management teams.

Broot AI integrates the Voice API into its sales development workflows to enable outbound calling. This setup connects call activity directly to CRM records, tracks engagement, and supports multi-region outreach with consistent call quality, without requiring custom telecom infrastructure.

HiDesk

HiDesk provides an agentic communication layer for small businesses. When a customer calls or messages a business and no one is available, HiDesk steps in to respond. It can handle inquiries, booking appointments, and routing urgent requests.

HiDesk uses the Voice API and SMS API to manage inbound calls and messages on behalf of its customers. Reliable infrastructure and competitive pricing for incoming calls make it well-suited for a product designed around always-on responsiveness.

n0va

n0va is a lead activation platform that helps B2C sales teams convert inbound leads into qualified appointments. By engaging prospects within minutes and following up across channels, the platform improves response rates and booking efficiency.

n0va uses the SMS API as its primary speed-to-lead channel, typically reaching prospects within minutes of an inquiry. Webhooks and delivery reporting provide real-time visibility into message status, failures, opt-outs, and analytics—supporting a high-volume, multi-tenant messaging system.

Bite Buddy AI

Bite Buddy AI offers a conversational ordering and reservations platform for restaurants. Its AI handles phone and text interactions, placing orders and bookings directly into the restaurant’s POS system.

Bite Buddy AI uses the Voice API for phone-based ordering and reservations, and the SMS API for text-based interactions. Together, these channels enable natural, conversational experiences for customers while streamlining operations for restaurant owners' staff.

PatientGenie

PatientGenie is building the intelligent transaction layer for healthcare access, providing health plans with autonomous AI agents that manage the full lifecycle of medical appointments, and help risk-bearing entities close care gaps and eliminate administrative friction at scale.

PatientGenie uses the Voice API, SMS API, and Rich Communication Services (RCS) to power interactions between patients, health plans, and provider offices. Vonage’s programmable capabilities allow its AI agents to navigate complex phone systems and coordinate tasks like appointment scheduling and care-gap outreach.

Therabot

Therabot provides mental health and emotional support through AI-powered conversations, offering their 60k+ users a way to talk through challenges, manage stress, and access support when they need it.

Therabot uses the Messages API for WhatsApp to deliver its core chat experience, enabling real-time conversations with users. The Voice API supports AI-driven calls for users who prefer speaking, while the SMS API handles reminders, scheduling, and follow-ups.

Donotify

Donotify is a reminder service that connects to Google Calendar and places automated phone calls before important events. It’s designed for professionals and teams who need more than a standard notification to stay on track.

Donotify uses the Voice API to place outbound reminder calls. Text-to-speech functionality reads event details aloud, ensuring users receive timely and accessible reminders.

Fiatsend

Fiatsend provides a stablecoin payment infrastructure for Africa, starting by connecting Ghana to the world. It gives businesses in Ghana instant mobile money settlements backed by blockchain verification, helping eliminate failed transactions and improving transparency.

Fiatsend uses the Messages API to send real-time transaction notifications via WhatsApp. This ensures businesses and customers receive instant updates for payments, withdrawals, and settlements. The team is also building a WhatsApp-based assistant for managing balances and approving transactions.
