I am Amanda, an Italo-Brazilian developer advocate at Vonage based in the United Kingdom.

I am passionate about cloud technologies, JavaScript, human-computer interactions and ambient computing and a love of learning. You can speak to me in Portuguese, English, Italian and a little Japanese.

I am thoroughly interested and invested in conversational technologies through different communication channels. I have developed a deep interest in these interactions which can improve our lives and make technology more inclusive for people from different backgrounds.

The developer community should be an inclusive environment where everyone from beginner to experienced professionals is welcome to join. I love to connect and collaborate with others and to give back to the community. I volunteer as a community builder at the largest and most active Google Developers Group Cloud community worldwide: GDG Cloud London and at Bots Brasil. I am a Women Techmakers ambassador and a Google Developer Expert.

Having worked as a developer for the past six years, I understand developers' pain points as I have been in their shoes. In addition to that, I have the passion and empathy to communicate and help empower people to reach their goals and achievements. As I've done this work for the past years during my spare time, I'm excited to work as a developer advocate full time and make a difference in developers' careers and learning journeys.

During my free time, I practise aikido, calligraphy, read books, study Japanese and listen to power metal. My favourite band is Sonata Arctica.
