Updates for Vonage Video Transport for Pipecat (version 1.11.0.post1).

The Vonage Video Transport for Pipecat is now based on the official Pipecat v1.11.0 release and includes:

• A new audio_in_frame_source parameter to select the incoming audio frames: mixed session audio (AudioInFrameSource.MIXED, the default), per-participant audio (INDIVIDUAL), or both (BOTH). Earlier versions emitted both kinds of frames. To keep that behavior, set audio_in_frame_source=AudioInFrameSource.BOTH.
• Vonage Video Connector library version 1.0.3, which supports Python 3.11 and later on Linux.

New Video Connector Server SDK for Node.js.

The Video Connector Server SDK is now available for Node.js as the @vonage/video-connector package. It supports Node.js 18 or later on Linux x64 and ARM64.

Updates for Vonage Video Connector Server SDK (version 1.0.3).

Improvements:

• The Python library now supports Python 3.11 or later, instead of Python 3.13 only.
• Individual audio data and captions are no longer beta features.

Updates for SIP Interconnect

Resolved an issue where sessions combining SIP video with archiving or broadcasting produced corrupted video in the composed output. No action is required from customers.

Note that VP9 is not compatible with SIP Interconnect. In sessions where VP9 is configured as the preferred codec, SIP participants will not be able to receive video, although they can still send video. Use VP8 or H.264 instead. See Video codecs.

Updates for the Advanced Insights API

New features:

• Live Captions metrics in Session and Session Summary. Two new fields, hasCaptions and liveCaptionsPublisherMinutes, are now available on the Session and SessionSummary types, enabling you to query Live Captions usage across your sessions.
• Audio Connector minutes in Session and Session Summary. The audioConnectorMinutes field is now available on both the Session and SessionSummary types, reporting the total duration (in minutes) that an Audio Connector was connected during a session. This enables more detailed billing and usage reporting for Audio Connector integrations.
• Post-Call Transcription minutes in usage data. The postCallTranscriptionMinutes field is now available on the Usage type, under both the applicationData and projectData schemas, reporting the total number of post-call transcription minutes.

Improvements:

• Security: Updated Insights and Advanced Insights API dependencies to address critical security vulnerabilities, improving the overall security posture of the service. No API behavior changes are expected.

Updates for Network Test JS library (version 5.1.6)

• Fixed an issue where the Precall Tool would hang indefinitely when camera or microphone permissions were denied.
• Fixed inconsistent qualityLimitationReason values, missing ICE/protocol data in routed mode, and media mode instability during pre-call tests.
• Fixed an issue where the session was not disconnected after a PublishToSessionError in testQuality().
• Added ESM/UMD dual bundle support.

Updates for Media Connection

An update to the Media Router's layer selection logic resolves the previous incompatibility between setPreferredResolution() and setPreferredFrameRate(). Now both APIs work as expected when the publisher uses a custom target scalability mode. The issue was previously reported in the Client SDKs v2.35.1 Known Issues:

Updates for SIP Interconnect

Improved reliability of SIP call setup. The platform now returns an explicit error response when a SIP call cannot be established due to media infrastructure unavailability, eliminating silent call failures where the Dial API appeared to succeed but no call was connected. Platform health checks have been updated to automatically remove sip-switch pods from load balancing when no upstream media components are reachable, reducing the impact window of infrastructure incidents. After receiving a failure, it is possible to retry the call, and the load balancer will try to route it to another pod, if available.

Updates for Media Connection

• In some cases, audio and video round-trip time (RTT) values may increase continuously to unrealistic levels during a session. This has been observed in specific sequences of publishing and subscribing activity and is currently under investigation.

• Improved error handling when access to the camera and microphone is not granted.
• Test results are now preserved and displayed even if the test is stopped early or camera or microphone access is revoked during the test.
• Device information now updates correctly if camera or microphone access changes during a test.
