SMS Burst Protection
SMS Burst Protection allows you to configure the maximum amount of SMS traffic you want to allow in a 10 minute time period for a certain country. Traffic above the threshold will be rejected with error code 22.
It acts as a counter that resets every 10 minutes; once the traffic limit is reached, traffic above the limit will be rejected until the counter resets. No Fraud Alerts are generated when the Burst Protection starts rejecting traffic, so you must use SMS Delivery Receipts to identify when Burst Protection is actively rejecting traffic.
SMS Burst Protection is included with the Fraud Defender Advanced package, together with AIT Protection.

First-Time Setup
Find the SMS Burst Protection tile in the Fraud Defender dashboard within the protection section and click on the “Set up” button:

On this screen, you can set your first SMS traffic limit. You will be able to create more limits after the first one. You can apply the same limit to all countries, multiple countries, or a single country. Please note that you can create one limit per country - if you create a limit that applies to all countries, you won’t be able to create more limits.

Once you create the first traffic limit you will be redirected to the page where you can further manage your traffic limits:
