Cloud Runtime

Vonage Cloud Runtime (VCR) is a serverless platform that eliminates the need to maintain your own infrastructure to use Vonage APIs. It handles application authentication, API webhooks, and auto-scaling for you — so you can focus on building. VCR integrates with Vonage Voice, Messaging, and data APIs out of the box, and supports built-in queuing and scheduling for high-volume use cases.

The Cloud Runtime section of the Dashboard gives you access to three areas: Overview, Instances, Assets.

Instances

The Instances section displays all of your currently deployed VCR applications. For each instance you can:

  • View the current status (running, stopped, error)
  • Access logs to monitor activity and troubleshoot issues in real time
  • Delete instances you no longer need

Log retention: Logs are stored for 1 month and are accessible only through the Dashboard UI.

Assets

The Assets section provides S3-powered storage for binary files such as images, audio, and video used by your VCR applications. Assets can be accessed and managed via:

  • The Dashboard UI
  • The VCR CLI
  • The VCR SDK
  • SFTP/FTPS

Marketplace

The Marketplace lets you browse and deploy pre-built application templates directly into Cloud Runtime. Templates cover common communication use cases including voice notifications, IVRs, messaging workflows, and chatbots — so you can get up and running without starting from scratch.

Plans and Pricing

Cloud Runtime offers four subscription tiers. Your current plan is shown in the Plans and Pricing section of the Dashboard.

To upgrade to Advanced or Premium, navigate to Cloud Runtime > Plans and Pricing and click Contact us next to the plan you want. Upgrading requires a Postpaid account.

For the Custom tier, contact your Vonage Account Manager or reach out via the Contact us page.
