In 2025, Vonage launched a new chapter of the Vonage Startup Program, designed intentionally to support the next generation of founders building with communications APIs.
Early-stage startups are constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation and finding new ways for businesses to connect with their customers. Whether it’s branded messaging, interactive voice agents, identity verification, or AI-driven healthcare solutions, communications infrastructure is quickly becoming a critical piece of every innovator's tech stack. It powers many of the most exciting products being built today.
The Vonage Startup Program was designed with those builders in mind, giving promising founders the support they deserve as they scale their businesses.
Drawing on insights from previous programs and the realities of today’s developer landscape, the new Vonage Startup Program focuses on identifying promising early-stage startups and helping them scale with the right tools, support, and visibility.
At the core of this program is a belief shared across the Vonage team: supporting a healthy startup ecosystem isn’t just good business – it’s the right thing to do. Today’s startups are tomorrow’s category leaders. They’re the teams introducing new use cases, testing bold ideas, and building the technologies that will shape entire industries.
Building an early-stage startup means constantly balancing speed, resources, and focus. Infrastructure decisions made early can shape how quickly a product evolves and how easily it scales.
The Vonage Startup Program helps founders move faster by providing top-tier communications infrastructure that powers their products quickly without forcing trade-offs elsewhere in the business. Whether you're enabling real-time conversations with users, delivering critical alerts, verifying identities, or powering AI-driven interactions, communications APIs often sit directly in the critical path of the product experience.
The Vonage Startup Program helps founders simplify this part of the journey.
Rather than scaling broadly, the program intentionally selects small cohorts of startups each quarter and supports them with meaningful resources designed to accelerate growth during a critical phase.
Startups accepted into the program can receive:
up to $75,000 in Vonage API credits over two years
direct access to technical guidance from the Vonage team
co-marketing opportunities to support visibility
The goal is simple: give founders the infrastructure, support, and visibility they need to move faster.
The Vonage Startup Program is open to startups that:
are early-stage (Pre-Seed through Series A)
were founded within the past five years
show clear product visibility across their website, developer channels, or social presence
are not currently managed Vonage accounts
Our first cohort spans 13 countries, with founders building across healthcare, AI productivity, sales and marketing platforms, vertical SaaS, telecommunications, and more. We’ll be sharing more about these teams soon, including how they’re using Vonage APIs to power new products and customer experiences.

In the coming months, the program will continue expanding through partnerships with startup accelerators, VC ecosystems, and developer communities around the world. The goal is to help more founders discover and build on the Vonage platform.
